Bordeaux & St Emilion are both listed UNESCO World Heritage cities. Starting this day excursion with a sightseeing of Bordeaux then you will go to the medival village of St Emilion to visit the undergrounds monuments before to go to a Chateau Grand Cru for a wine tasting.

St Emilion
Wherever you go in the town, you will be struck by Saint-Emilion’s inherent harmony. All the houses have the same warm colour, as they are built in luminous ochre limestone.

The underground monuments were all carved out of solid limestone rock, as were the tens of kilometers of caves & galleries. Among them, those which were turned into wine cellars or museums are accessible to visitors.
