This Bordeaux wine tasting tour is a very good way to discover Medoc & St Emilion wines and famous "Chateaux Grands Crus Classes". Learn how to make wine at the wine school and enjoy French local gastronomy in our selection of gourmet restaurants.
Bordeaux wine school session (included)
A fun and educational way to learn more about Bordeaux wines. During this blending workshop, you will be guided by a sommelier to be able to pick the characteristic of each Bordeaux grape variety (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc). Make your own wine and compare your result with the ￼Chateaux' one.
*Option 1 Grand Tasting in St Emilion (€ 15 pp)
On request we can organize a private tasting in a local wine shop in Saint Emilion. Leaded by a Bordeaux wines specialist, this "Grand Tasting" will give you the opportunity to learn more and travel over Bordeaux vineyards, taste and discover a selection of unknown good-value "Petits Chateaux" as well as famous Grands Crus Classes . Easy shipping all over the world.
*Option 2 Visit at a barrel maker (€ 40 pp)
A very unique opportunity to see how barrels are made. You will discover the process and all the hand-work of the barrel makers. This visit will be completed by a wine tasting from different barrels. (closed on week-end).
*Option 3 Lunch in a Chateau Premier Grand Cru Classe in St Emilion (€ 50 pp)

Visits are not private & only by appointment. Chateaux & schedules depend on availabilities but most of them are members of "Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux" which is a mark of quality. We can only confirm visited properties after your payment and a definitive itinerary will be sent to you before your arrival. Usually a tour with wine tasting takes around 1h/1h30 and they propose 2 different wines from the estate. Chateaux visited & wineries are closed from 12am until 2pm.
Grands Crus Classes 1855, Crus Bourgeois or "artisans" vintages, come and meet men and women who make these wines of exceptions.
A guided tour will make you discover terroir, appellation, vat room, ageing cellar and all the winemaking process from the grape to the glass. A commented wine tasting of different vintage will close the visits.

Saint Emilion is close of other appelation as Lussac, Montagne or Pomerol.
This tour includes visit to Medoc and St Emilion but could be completed with another day in Sauternes wine region as well as on Cognac. Ask us for a quote.
